How can I achieve maximum adhesive strength?
It’s very important to follow the steps in the assembly instructions carefully. Perform the installation in a dry environment at room temperature. First, make sure to remove visible dirt from the surface. Degrease the area by using the alcohol wipe to remove any grease, then wipe the area with the dry cotton cloth. Ensure you press down each part with high force to activate the adhesive. For example, you can use a tire lever to help with this. Let the adhesive cure for at least 24 hours at room temperature.

Should I use the included special film?
We generally recommend using the special film during the installation of the mount. There are several reasons for this: Firstly, the included film is not a regular paint protection film, but a special adhesive film that ensures maximum bonding strength. If you don't use the provided special film, we cannot guarantee maximum adhesive strength. If you already have a paint protection film on your frame, we recommend applying the special film on top of it. Additionally, the special film makes it easier to remove or replace the FlexBase Mount. More on that in the next question.

Is the FlexBase Mount reusable?
Yes, absolutely! With the help of a hairdryer, you can remove the mount along with the special film from your bike without leaving any residue. For reinstallation, you only need a new adhesive pad with the special film. Small parts can be sent to you cost-effectively via regular mail.

How can I use the FlexBase Mount in combination with a GPS-enabled watch?
You will need a compatible Garmin adapter to click the watch into the Garmin mount. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer this adapter in our product range.

Is the FlexBase Mount exclusively for mountain bikes?
In general, the mount can be attached to all types of bicycles. However, it’s important to note that mountain bikes, with their relatively long top tube, are especially well-suited for positioning the mount on the frame. On road bikes, the visibility of the bike computer is significantly reduced. That said, the FlexBase Mount works excellently when attached to an aero handlebar on a road bike.

Is the Safety Strap for Wahoo compatible with all Wahoo devices?
We offer different versions of our Wahoo Safety Straps. Select the appropriate bike computer variant during the ordering process.
